Project Management

Project Management – to ensure that solutions are delivered to customers within the required timescales and budget, to the quality expected.

Project Management is something that most payroll and HR managers regularly do as part as their normal day to day roles although the tasks included in the process are not usually formalised in the same way as traditional project management roles.

Occasionally there are specific tasks that require a more formal approach to project management, for example the procurement of a new payroll system, including the implementation and go-live, the consolidation of pay frequencies or a merger or acquisition. In a lot of organisations these sorts of processes are performed by a dedicated team set up to run the project, but often there aren’t sufficient resources available in the operational teams to fulfil this kind of requirement.
